The Renewables Connect introductory programme is unique in that it provides a global gateway to the industry for new talent as the world strives to create skills for the future.

The programme is a new pedagogy which sets out to connect learners to industry…it is a programme designed by industry, for industry.

Traditionally students complete their qualification and then apply for jobs..the Introduction to Renewables puts that connection to industry at the forefront.

Our industry partners are passionate about the process and understand the commitment of candidates who have focused on preparation for their new careers through the programme.

In addition to working their way through the three-part syllabus, learners will have options to join value-added activities, like one-to-one access to subject leaders, workshops with industry guests, internships/mentorships and being part of a global learners’ community through the SharePoint ecosystem.

A pathway into the new world of energy

That ecosystem will also connect learners to careers opportunities as they become part of the international renewables network through the platform.

“Graduates” of the Introduction to Renewables will be noticed by the programme’s bank of industry partners, looking for high-quality next-generation talent for their businesses.

Learners have to complete 15 specialist modules, all of which will have industry partners helping to enhance the knowledge of candidates.

Not only does the course focus on new entrants to the energy industry, it will also provide a powerful transition tool for oil and gas practitioners and non-sector professionals who want to become involved in a future-proofed career.

The format of the three-part programme, with a flexible timescale up to a maximum of three months for the 30-hour learning experience, is designed to enable full-time students and professionals to accommodate the study period alongside their day-to-day commitments.
